dear friend,JMET stands for JOINT MANAGEMENT ENTRANCE TEST,conducted by IIT's and IISC BANGLORE for their M.B.A program(except IIT GUWAHATI).only B.TECH or M.SC degee holders can take this test,with minimum 60%marks in gaduation.jmet is of 3hours duration with 120 questions,equally divided between 4 sections(english,maths,logical reasoning and data interpretation),1 mark each question.in maths questions from class 11 &12 are also asked like matrices,determinants,integration,area etc.cutoff is generally 50-60 marks.after clearing the cutoff , separate forms for each iit is to be filled.this year jmet is on 13th december 2009.forms are to be filled online.last date for submission is 9th october.fee structure of all iit's vary from 1.5lakhs-2.5lakhs for 2 years(except iit bombay which is around 8 lakhs).average salary is around 9-10 lakhs per annum.you can get more information on this website-www.gateonline.gateiisc.in/jmet
