Doubt & Answer Explanation

Doubt

two coherent sources s1 and s2 of same amplitude and wavelenth form a intensity of P at its centre another   light but incoherent is used instead of the previous light and source s1 and s2 of same wavelenght and amplitude form a intensity of Q at the centre . What is the ratio  of P qnd Q

Answer Explanation

In the case of incoherent sources, the average resultant intensity becomes double the intensity of the individual sources. If the sources are coherent, then the maximum resultant intensity is four time the intensity of the individual source.
