A body is released from the top of the tower of Hm high.it takes t seconds to reach the ground.where the body is t/2 seconds after release?
 
 

Answer Explanation

In the vertical direction, taking the downward direction to be positive,

H = 1/2 gt2
Therefore, t = (2H/g)1/2



Displacement of the body in time t/2 = s = 1/2 g(t/2)2= gt2/8 = (g/8)(2H/g) = H/4 metres.
