General Information

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is one of the most prestigious universities in India. Established in the year 1998 by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The university is recognized by University Grants Commission of India under section 12B of UGC Act.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts the B.Tech and M.Tech entrance tests every year for candidates who wish to take admission into the engineering programs offered by the university. The university conducted the common entrance test on 25th May 2008 for candidates who wished to take admission into the B.Tech and M.Tech programs for the session 20010-2011.

Eligibility Criteria

Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/

Exam Pattern

* GGSIPU-CET is not a common test for all courses. Students choosing different programs have to appear different test in their respective subjects as per the scheduled date and time.

* However question papers of all subjects in GGSIPU-CET consist of multiple-choice objective-type questions of two and a half hours duration carrying 600 marks.

* In all the test contain 150 objective-type questions to be answered on the OMR answer sheet by marking the appropriate answer.

* Each question carries equal marks.

* There is negative marking for incorrect answers.
