Chaudhary Charan Singh University Entrance Test.

The Chaudhary Charan Singh University was established in the year 1965. It was formerly known as Meerut university and is located in Meerut. It is a state university, a member of  AIU (Association of Indian Universities) and recognized and funded by the UGC.  It has 15 teaching departments,a department for  correspondence course and 62 affiliated colleges.  Apart from engineering it offers courses on law, commerce, arts and science.

    The name of the engineering college is Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering and Technology.  It is situated in the university campus.  The B.Tech programs offered are B.Tech in CS, EC, EI, ME, IT and agriculural engineering. The university conducts a separate entrance examination for the admission to these courses . The exams are generally held in meerut, lucknow, ghaziabad and saharanpur.

Eligibility: Candidates who have cleared 10+2 from some recognized board and university or are appearing in their 10+2 board exams are eligible for the entrance exam.  For admission to agriculural engineering the candidate must have subjects of agircultural chemistry and agricultural mathematics apart from the compulsory subjects of physics, mathematics and chemistry.  Also, general and OBC candidates must secure 50% aggregate in the above subjects while their is a relaxation of 10% for SC/ST candidates.

Application Process: The application forms in select Allahabad Bank branches across the country.  Candidates can also buy application forms from the Allahabad Bank, Unuversity campus branch, Meerut.  The cost of application form is INR 600 for general and OBC candidates and rs 400 for general category students.  The last date of sending of application form is generally extended till 2nd or 3rd week of April.
