IITJEE- How to prepare after Class XII

TheIITJEE has restricted the no of attempts to 2 , so the preparation bystudents who have passed class XII should be very efficient. Afterpassing class XII , the students are left with just 10-12 months .Inthese 10 months the students have to learn the basic concepts andchallenging problems simultaneously. In this article we will discusspreparation by students who have passed class XII (But this holds truefor the students of class XI-XII also)

·     Learn basic concepts of class XI and Class XII 

Thequestion asked in IITJEE are concept based . The difficulty level isgood but can only solved when the basic concepts are crystal clear. Thegolden words are "STICK TO THE BASICS".  Read the lessons diligently from the lessons on topIITcoaching.com or from any book of your choice.

·     Revise your concepts periodically

Togain a new concept is important but to retain it for a longer time isequally important. so it is always advised to revise the concepts . Forrevision in chemistry flash cards , which are very handy  can be usedwhich can be used .

·     Time management

Manystudents complain of lack of time . But is it possible that u will geta day with 26 or say 28 hours . This is next to impossible. Remember the boy who topped the IIT JEE last year had just 24 hrs in a day . So, rather the complaining , the students should learn to utilize their time. For example, the time when you are travelling can be used  to revise some concepts or the leisure periods in the school or coaching centre. We will discuss more on time management in next issue.

·     Avoid consulting soloution of solved examples

Referring solutions of solved examples prohibits the thinking ability of students. A sincere effort to solve the problem is more beneficial than referring to the solution.

·     Attend regular test :

Appearing regular test is most important aspect of your preparation. It is a litmus test of your preparation . A proper analysis of test shows the weak points of your preparation. Remember, even Sachin Tendulakar attends the net practice before the match.
